Studio 360: Redesigning Xmas. Pentagram redesigns Christmas. Pretty cool.
I don’t agree that xmas is divisive or ugly, but I do agree that it’s too commercial and that it’s stuck with quaint imagery of the past. But most people like that quaint imagery — xmas trees, wreaths, stockings, etc. And can the commercialism of xmas be seen as a monster fed on people’s generosity to each other? And I don’t get how their idea of a x.mas sponsor jives with the commercialism problem, even if the proceeds go to charity.

The “Let Me Tell You About My Best Friend” competition from Threadless looks pretty sweet. The stuff up for grabs is cool lookin’. If you’re a designer, you should totally design something for that one. Keep in mind that Rob & Big are big fans of airbrushed fantasy portraits.
