This presentation by Jill Bolte Taylor just about blew my mind. So beautiful.
On the plane from Palm Springs on Wednesday I read an article in National Geographic entitled “Iceland’s Heated Debate.” It’s an interesting article with good photos, focusing heavily on the Kárahnjúkar Dam and the debate over industrial development vs. the protection of Iceland’s environment.
Then today, I stumbled across Sigur Rós’s film “Heima.” The music aside, it’s visually stunning. Beautiful. It follows them as they tour through Iceland’s smaller more remote communities. Gorgeous. They also address the dam, and how it is sad for them to see.
Iceland seems so foreign to me, and it’s been fascinating to me this week to read the article and watch the film.

This is my first iMovie and my first video on Vimeo. It’s a compilation of shots taken at Audrey’s birthday with my new camera.
