I was given an award at work this week. The reward is that Becky and I get an expenses-paid trip to the Ritz-Carlton on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands for four days and three nights in October. OMG, what?! For real.

Flickr founders Caterina Fake and Stewart Butterfield have decided to leave Yahoo! The most awesome thing about this is Stewart Butterfield’s resignation letter.

I am going to start using that phrase in my everyday speak. When making decisions I will now ask myself, “does it offer a compelling value realization event for all parties involved?”

Google’s Schmidt calls Yahoo!’s Yang offering help in “fending off” Microsoft. Not surprisingly, Google doesn’t want the deal to happen.
Interesting post on the Buzz Log this morning. The top “learn” search is “Learn Spanish,” so I am not unique in this pursuit. The final meeting of my “Intermediate 1″ course at Instituto Cervantes is tonight, but I’ll be in Virginia.
But what struck me was the No. 10 “learn” search on the list: “Learn the Soulja Boy Dance.” Our friend Curtis is one of the people pushing this one up the list.
